Delivery Information

The Fireworks (Scotland) Miscellaneous Amendments Regulations 2021. The quantity of fireworks that can be supplied to the general public in Scotland is 5kg (N.E.C. / Powder Weight).  This restriction does not apply to community organised events. If your order is over 5kg N.E.C. / Powder Weight we’ll contact you in advance of dispatch. All Deliveries to Scotland have to take place between 7.00am & 6.00pm.

Collecting Your Order

Please note that if you are collecting your order then there is no minimum spend.

Items will be ready to collect one hour after you complete your order and you will need to bring your order confirmation and ID to prove you are over 18. If you wish to collect your fireworks, please collect from our store :

Due to UK firework regulations on the transportation of hazardous goods, our outdoor firework carriage costs have dramatically increased. As a means of minimising customer charges, we have absorbed the majority of the costs ourselves.

It is the customers responsibility to ensure someone is available to accept delivery or the carriers will make an additional charge for redelivery.

Please make sure there will be someone (aged 18 years or over) at the delivery address to avoid the extra charge for redelivery.

How We Deliver To You

We use an Independent Delivery Service Company. Delivery to our customers via our Independent Delivery Service Company or any other express delivery service is weekdays and weekends only, from 9.00am to 6.00pm. Customers can also pick up their orders themselves to avoid any delivery charge.

Please make sure that when you enter a delivery address in our secure online order form there will be someone (aged 18 years or over) at that address to receive and sign for the delivery, enabling us and our delivery service providers to get the item(s) to you.

We reserve the right to alter and change the methods of delivery, charges, and the delivery suppliers we use.

We reserve the right to refuse an order and refund the payment within 7 days of placing the order.

Under normal circumstances and for packages sent by our Independent Delivery Service Company, our delivery partner will attempt to deliver the goods. If after the first attempt delivery cannot be completed the package(s) will be returned to our head office in Glasgow. Should it be necessary for our delivery partner to attempt delivery a second time, an extra charge will apply. Payment will always be taken before dispatch.

Why is Delivery so expensive

ou may have noticed that firework delivery costs are higher than standard delivery, but at The Ultimate Fireworks Shop, this isn’t about increasing profits. Across the industry, firework delivery in the UK is generally more expensive than regular delivery because of the additional safety requirements.

Since fireworks are classified as explosives, they cannot be shipped with standard couriers. Only a few specialized couriers in the UK are licensed to handle these materials, which naturally raises the cost. With limited suppliers licensed to transport fireworks, prices often range from £20 to £100.

Additionally, there’s an extra hazardous goods charge. Fireworks are not only explosive but also classified as hazardous, adding an additional £10 per consignment due to the specialized precautions necessary for safe handling and transport.

All of this means that even a small, straightforward delivery can cost us upwards of £75. We work hard to keep your costs as low as possible, absorbing as much of this expense as we can. When you consider these factors, we hope you’ll see that our prices are fair and transparent.
